Calling Writers, Producers, Directors, Actors…

Workshop

Bring your scripts, talent, skills, and expertise to develop projects in collaboration with other creatives.

scriptLab is a low cost monthly event, FREE to Tabb Pro members, bringing together professionals and emerging talent to workshop new material and explore the possibilities for production.

If you want to:

  • workshop a new idea
  • test run some scripted materials
  • hear your script performed
  • engage with other creatives
  • connect with a community of creatives as friends or potential collaborators
  • develop or enhance your practice
  • receive professional feedback

Then please join us in a safe, supportive space. We meet on the last Saturday of the month.

You’re welcome to participate as a writer, actor, director or producer. Or you can just come along and watch.

Venue

Oldfield Park Theatre Workshops

Westmoreland Station Road

Bath

BA2 3HQ

The venue is less than ten minutes walk from Oldfield Park Station, Bath Spa Station, and Bath Bus Station. Once you’re in Westmoreland Station Road, you’ll see the sign.

Parking

There is some parking on site and in the area. You can park using the JustPark app. Confusingly, you have to book the "Main Campus Car Park", location ID 310149. (But don't park there! You park at the Theatre Workshops.) You can't reserve before the day. It costs £2.

Scripts & Directors

Use this link to upload any script/s you wish to be workshopped to our DropBox folder. You don't need a DropBox account to do this. This link remains consistent for all scriptLabs.

The deadline for uploading scripts is Wednesday 24th January. We'll then select scripts and assign a director to each prior to the event to ensure the maximum developmental potential for each project. (Regular scriptLab attendees please note: This is a change compared to previous scriptLabs, we're formalising and tightening things up a little.)

If you have technical difficulty with DropBox, please contact Tabb.

Biscuits!

We provide tea, coffee and biscuits. Please bring a cup with you.

We run an honesty box to contribute to refreshments so bring any loose change you may have if you can contribute.

Brought to you by ProducerWorksBath Spa University, and Tabb.
