Sound Designer for Film, TV and Games. NFTS Alumni. Classical/Crossover & Session Violinist.
A bit about me...
I am a professional sound designer for film, TV, games and interactive media, with a special passion for immersive sound. I can do sound edit, sound design and mix short films, features, games, installations and commercials. I am also a professional violinist with a 17 years of experience. I have performed solo, in small ensembles, orchestras and choirs in Poland, UK and the USA.
In May 2021, I graduated from the National Film & Television School in England, from a 2-year full time MA in Sound Design. I have since worked on two feature films as a sound editor and a sound supervisor, and as sound designer and mixer on many short films and voiceover recording for games. Currently I work full time as a freelancer, on a TV series for Apple TV as a sound editing assistant at Twickenham studios.
Prior to that, I have studied and performed music since I was 7 years old. In 2018 I graduated from BMus Music at the University of Manchester, where I studied violin performance and electro-acoustic composition as my two main interests. My performing interests lie within the classical, jazz and crossover backgrounds. I also teach violin and music theory in spare time.
Filmmaking Highlights
Working alongside BAFTA and Oscar winning sound mixers, editors and nominees, I’m keen to go further into feature filmmaking. I have strong passion for fantasy, animation, musicals and action movies.
Since graduating in 2021, I've embarked on two feature films as a supervising sound editor and sound designer, which taught me a lot of skills such as close collaboration, leadership and handling large scale projects. Since, my documentary Finite:The Climate of Change has traveled the world and had its premiere in North America, Europe and Down Under! Entering Oscar qualifying festivals in Germany and all over the world, I’m very proud of this one!
I also worked on a short film commissioned by Sky and DBK studios, which will air on Sky after new year, 'Teju's Tale' dir. by Teniola King, and another spoken-word comedy film 'Billy, Becks and the Ex' commissioned by the BFI, dir. by Calvin Demba, which is now entering its festival run.
Earlier on this year, I mixed a short film "Stories of You and I" in Dolby Atmos, directed by John Davies and narrated by Jonathan Pryce, which got shortlisted for a GSA Student BAFTA LA 2021; and I co-sound-designed 'CoVRt Operation' VR game, which was nominated for a GSA Student BAFTA LA in games category.
My previous work includes award-winning short films such as "Those In Grass Houses" (2020), "Jicho" (2020) and "The Retreat" (2020) which were screened at multiple international film festivals, as well as, awarded best student production prices and featured on the Shortoftheweek platform.
One of my first "proper" films was working on an american-estonian feature comedy film "Chasing Unicorns" (2019) directed by Rain Rannu, which after a successful cinema release in Estonia, is now available to watch on Amazon Prime. It was a great opportunity, as I was working with my close friends and classmates at the film school.
