I am creative scribbler specialising in dark comedy drama as part of Soul Cake Theatre in Bristol.
Andrzej’s taste for dark comedy had a saccharine start. ‘Eyes Wide Open’ was a sweet little festive monologue and winner in Show of Strength’s ‘Recycled Stockings’ 2012 scriptwriting competition. Bitter-sweet relationship comedy followed with ‘Joe. Morag. And an Urn,’ a winner in Bristol Folk House ‘Saturday Shorts’ show. In 2020 Andrzej won first prize in Red Rope Theatre’s Gothic Horror Writing Competition with ‘Soul Cakes’. This creepy ghost story was included in his ‘Bobbing for Apples’ Halloween portmanteau show performed in 2020 at the Alma Tavern Theatre. Andrzej has also had short pieces broadcast on ‘BBC Radio Upload’ - but with the rude words cut out.
