Alice and Alfie's relationship is in the rut to end all ruts. The same hellos. The same wild suspicions. The same Angel Slices. Night after night after night. After night.
If only they could turn the page.
Reeling from a tortuous night of sci-fi cosplay and armed with a vague memory of something really quite bad, Alice and Alfie peer into the darkness. There’s something there. Could be a way out. Could be an end to a life of endless bickering, bad poetry, and shoddy home improvements.
Could be, couldn’t it?
Or it could be their worst nightmare.

Thanks for looking!
You need to be free initially on the evening of the 26th November for a script workshop in Bristol. This is a work in progress, no fixed timelines yet, but we are looking at a production some time in Spring 2025. Probably at the Alma Tavern Theatre, but we are also thinking about a short run at other venues.
We'll pay expenses and food for the 26th November.
'Loop' is a dark comedy about a couple who are caught in a relationship time loop. Its 'vibe' is a bit like 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf' meets 'Groundhog Day' (altho it wasn't planned that way). There are three characters. You would play Alfie, one half of the couple. Alfie is a slacking owner of a sci-fi comic book store, who is quite a nerd, but who demonstrates his love for his partner when it really matters. It needs someone who can do quirky comedy, romance, and the pathos when it gets dark, in the vein of Inside No 9.
Please get in touch as soon as possible.
It'll be fun!
