Jane, a writer, director, producer and intimacy coordinator was born in Tattenham Corner, near Epsom, Surrey and studied at Laine Theatre Arts, later studying History of Art at university. She found a way to monetise short film making by teaching film in a week at various schools and colleges and making stand alone shorts in showreel workshops.
After her family of 5 had left home for jobs and college she side stepped in to film and starting making shorts. Her first short Blackberry Girl had 118,000 hits on YouTube and her passion began. She has won 60 awards for various aspects of film and two scholarships for writing.
She progressed to feature films and TV shows and also has a slate of documentaries. Her favourite genres are period drama, drama with a social issue and thrillers.
She has been a film festival judge on The Monthly Film Festival, Miami Shorts and The Monkey Tree Film Festival, Ramsgate Film Festival.
