Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Where do I drop my scipt?
Drop them in this DropBox by Tuesday 18th February:
https://www.dropbox.com/request/w7nrzUh3077QRge1FZfC.
Do I need professional experience as a writer or actor to join?
No, you don’t need professional experience. Writers can submit their scripts, and our team will review them to ensure they meet the standard for our actors to perform.
Can I participate from outside the UK, Europe, or the U.S.?
Yes! This is an online event, and we encourage you to join from anywhere in the comfort of your home.
How will the round table read be conducted?
You’ll submit your script in advance and provide details about the characters. On the day of the event, your script will be shared with our actors, who will perform the roles live.
Does my script need to be finished to be eligible?
No, your script doesn’t need to be complete. We’ll read around 10 pages, which can be from any part of your script. Feel free to bring works-in-progress for workshop-style feedback.
Can I act in my own script if I’m both a writer and an actor?
Of course, you can!
Will there be feedback for scripts performed during the session?
Yes, script editors will provide feedback to help enhance your work. Don’t worry — it’s just their opinion, and it’s always a great opportunity to hear constructive suggestions.
What kind of scripts can I submit? Are there any restrictions?
There are no strict restrictions, but if your script contains sensitive language or content (e.g., themes of violence, race, or gender-related dialogue), please let us know in advance so we can make everyone aware.
What happens if I’m not selected due to limited spaces?
You’re still welcome to attend and listen in to gain insights and inspiration.
Can actors receive feedback on their performances?
Yes! We’ll have an acting coach on hand to provide feedback on your performance and help you refine your craft.
How do I sign up as an actor or submit my script as a writer?
Use the link provided to select your ticket. Choose the role (actor or writer) you wish to participate in, and we’ll add you to the list.
What is the deadline to submit scripts or sign up as an actor?
The deadline is 21st February, but we encourage early submissions. Once we reach full capacity, we won’t be able to accept any more participants.
How long will the sessions last, and what time zones are covered?
The sessions will last approximately two hours. Time zones are detailed in the information provided above, covering both UK and international participants.
