BYOA is a monthly meet-up and screening event for animators of all levels to showcase their work, get valuable feedback and share their passion in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Amateurs, students, and professional animators are welcome, as are voice actors, composers, editors, and general creatives who want to connect with the community.
Bringing an animation is not required, but if you want to share your work, send a download link to byoabristol@yahoo.com. (We recommend using WeTransfer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.) The deadline for submissions is 8pm, the day before the event.
Over the past decade, Bring Your Own Animation has been run by various volunteers! For the past few years, BYOA has been run by animators and storyboard artists George Diakou, Charlie Swan Pullin, and Sam Helyer in partnership with Tabb Hub. Want to get involved? Drop us an email.
Bring Your Own Animation is regularly held from 18:00 to 22:00 on the second Wednesday of every month. This occasionally changes to avoid clashing with festivals or holidays, so check the events page in advance!
Bring Your Own Animation is held at Tabb Hub, in Bristol City Centre. Tabb Hub's entrance is the black door to the right of Sparks Bristol's main entrance on the high street. If no one is staffing the door, please call 0117 427 0701 to gain access.
