Filmmaker, screenwriter, and editor, skilled in leadership, marketing, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro. Currently working towards a Master of Arts - MA Film and Television with Innovation & Entrepreneurship focused on Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the University of Bristol.
Alongside Akkhiel Nambbiar and Mostafa Vakilli, Zaid co-manages the record label and production company called "Produktivity". Produktvity are a creative collective of musical artists, fashion designers, and filmmakers based globally in London, Bristol, Illinois, and Dubai.
Zaid has founded and currently manages the events brand titled "Spaceinebetween"; whose purpose is to highlight local musical artists and fashion brands within the MENA region.
Zaid serves as founder and President of the University of Bristol's newly formed Arts Collaboration society, which has created a communal space for Bristol-based filmmakers and actors to collaborate and get their work exposed to key industry figures who in turn offer guidance on what it means to pursue a creative career as well as career opportunities.
Zaid's first short film "Desolation" was selected for the "Kingston International Film Festival" where it was nominated for the "Best Student Short" award. The film was also selected as part of Lift Off Global Network's first-time filmmaker festival sessions where it is currently competing to be screened for viewing at Pinewood Studios in London and Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. The film also has received official selections at the San Francisco Arthouse Shortfilm Festival, Lisbon Film Rendezvous, and the Heart of Europe International Monthly film festival where it received the award for "Best Student Short".
Alongside fellow filmmakers, Zaid has established the production company "Black Marble".
Post-production on the company's first short film is currently underway and will be submitted to the international film festival circuit once completed.
