Tara Cunningham is a guitarist, composer, collaborator and improviser from Bath, UK.
Current live + recorded projects include; 90s acid-jazz pioneers Red Snapper, improvised experimental duo with bassist Caius Williams, and alt-rock three piece COOL QUIET.
Her solo work, drawing on a range of influences from Derek Bailey to CAN to Erik Satie, focusses on embracing and improvising with the negative space, as well as the positive within compositional structures, and pushing the textural boundaries of her instrument. Sketches can be found here.
