Zanna is a playwright, screenwriter and actor with an MA in Scriptwriting.

She's also the Artistic Director of Scriptwriters & Co, a collaborative, global networking group for scriptwriters, actors, theatre directors and filmmakers.

As well as running and hosting the Scriptwriters & Co International Festival, sponsored by Final Draft and Posterity Entertainment, she co-judges and hosts free, competitive S&Co Scratch Nights, with winning short screenplays and plays performed on Zoom by her auditioned company of professional S&Co Actors, and workshopped by judges and audiences.

The company also runs workshops and retreats for scriptwriters at all stages in their career, led by Zanna and her wingman/co-host, screenwriter Alex Hollister.

Her dark children's stage musical in metered verse, Sprouts and a short film, Brainbox, are currently in development.

Her first screenplay, Voyeuse, won six international awards for Best Pilot Screenplay, including at the NRFF in Amsterdam and the Olympus Film Festival in LA and her first play, Caged Bird, was longlisted by the BBC Writersroom and Papatango.

The pilot of her TV drama series, Honeylove, was a semi-finalist in the 2021 Emerging Screenwriters competition.

In 2022, her feature, Seahorse - an action-led, romantic SciFi feature in a world where pregnancy is outlawed and men are forced to gestate - was a Top 50 finalist in the prestigious ISA Fast Track Fellowship and a second rounder (top 20%) in the Austin Film Festival.

Zanna enjoys experimenting with genres and voices, but drama is at the heart of everything she creates.
