Viimased (The Last Ones) (Feature film, 2020)

"The Last Ones" is a Nordic western that takes place in the wild tundra of Lapland. The main character of the film is a young miner Rupi, who hopes to shovel enough money by undermining the tundra to shake the breathtaking dust of the mining village forever. But work in the mine has stopped because Rupi's elk farmer's father refuses to sell his land. In addition to everything, the manipulative mining boss, nicknamed Fisherman, has started to catch the eye of Rupi's friend's wife, with whom Rupi is also secretly in love. Now that life in the mining village is becoming more and more dangerous at the moment, Rupi has to decide where and to whom it belongs. Is it a father's home on a primeval tundra or a cold land of personal interest?

Director Veiko Õunpuu's latest film “The Last” is a feature film made in co-operation between Estonia, Finland and the Netherlands, in which several beloved Estonian and Finnish actors take part.
