Under The Weather (Audio)

Through mist and melancholy, Under the Weather explores beauty in the grey—an intro to a universe where dreams fall, and rainy days linger too long

Under the Weather is a deeply introspective debut album that serves as both a personal statement and an invitation into a universe shaped by emotional turbulence, creative cycles, and the struggle to find light in dark places. This project captures the nuances of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and the often-overlooked impact of living through long periods of emotional and artistic stagnation.

The album’s title speaks to the feeling of being trapped beneath a heavy sky, where every effort to break through is met with resistance. Lyrically and sonically, the songs embrace a somber yet cathartic tone, blending themes of yearning, self-doubt, and self-discovery. It’s not about resolving the sadness or escaping the rain—it’s about learning to see beauty in the grey, in the mist, and in the moments of stillness.

The tracks weave together narratives of struggling against depression, grappling with unfulfilled dreams, and navigating the complex relationship between solitude and creativity. Each song reveals a new layer, a different phase of the creative and emotional journey. There are echoes of longing and loss, but also glimmers of hope and acceptance—a reminder that sometimes, even when the sky is overcast, there’s something beautiful about the way the clouds break light into unexpected hues.

Drawing on influences from personal experiences and the environment, Under the Weather is a record that defies easy categorization. It’s a melancholic introduction to a world that’s both intensely personal and universally relatable, inviting listeners to reflect on their own cycles of light and darkness. With a mixture of ambient soundscapes, haunting melodies, and reflective lyrics, this album is a raw exploration of how creative expression can serve as a lifeline through the fog.

Ultimately, Under the Weather is a statement about learning to coexist with emotional cycles rather than resisting them. It’s a chronicle of the ups and downs of being an artist and a human being in a world that doesn’t always offer rainbows and sunshine. Instead, it offers something more nuanced—a place where rain and grey skies are as much a part of the story as the bright, fleeting glimpses of sun.
