The Welsh Avengers - Sizzle Reel (TV comedy)
Meet THE WELSH AVENGERS - A team of mishap heroes in the village of Brinbawr, Wales, allocated here to defend, serve and protect the Welsh Citizens.
Proof of Concept for THE WELSH AVENGERS - A blend of comedy, Welsh History, and the superhero genre following a team of mishaps in the fictional village of Brinbawr. We will be blending Celtic mythology, welsh history, welsh humour and patriotism in a Father Ted-like sitcom style comedy. We aim to make this sizzle reel so that we may fund our efforts further to produce a pilot episode in the future.
RHIANNON
We are looking for a WELSH female / non-binary person to play Rhiannon, a Celtic goddess in welsh folklore who is a member of Brynbawr's branch of heroes. She is wise, humble, but also stubborn and bold, and at times arrogant and naturally funny. She has roamed Wales for eternity, returning often to the otherworld and coming back when she's bored. She is immortal, but still very human in her ways.
We are looking for someone to play this ethereal woman who understands that this is still a comedy and enjoys this sort of acting. The role will require improvising at times, and playing around with the character. We will encourage actors to make to make the character they're own.
