COVID impacted everyone, there was no part of society which wasn't affected. However, how did students specifically fair in a lockdown Britain.
This was a documentary that I made during my second year at university. My role in this documentary was to be the producer and therefore handle all the paperwork, scheduling and manage the production as a whole.
This was a topic which I found interesting as everyone in the country went through COVID and lockdown but university students were affected arguably more than anyone else. Therefore, showing their experience and exploring it felt like an important topic to cover.
Furthermore, this was a shoot which was plagued with difficulties. Namely, the fact that we lost our director when he dropped out of university during the course of the editing process. Meaning that we had to re-invent the whole documentary with the footage that we shot as well as some extra B-roll which we needed to do re-shoots for
