Taylor & Dean - Tribute to a Friendship (Video Art, 2022)

A 64-second video/soundtrack collaboration, exploring the tragically brief close friendship of Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean, forged while they were making the 1956 epic movie 'Giant'. The video is also inspired by the 1948 portrait of a young 16-year-old starlet Taylor by American photographer Philippe Halsman, as well as by playful stills taken of the couple off-set during the production of Giant. Dean died just eight days after the completion of the movie, he was only 24 years old. Taylor was heartbroken.
