Subterranean is a modern folktale about a Cornish farmer, his daughter and their rapidly decreasing quality of life after their crops stop growing. The farmer encounters the Green Man disguised as a tourist who tells of a ritual to bring life back to the soil, but it requires an equal exchange of life.
Hazel 16, has a strong relationship with her father Cedric, she is a little shy and helps out on the farm, separating from her father will be the most devastating thing to ever happen to her.
