Stones Throw (Short film, 2019)
Where's mummy? Who are you? This film follows a little girl as she encounters a stranger. With scarce narrative, its an exploration of the child's perspective.
Working with a three-year old actress in the leading role, this film required a radical re-imagining of the film-making process. She is only a toddler, unaware of the camera's presence or any direction; I'll say 'look over here' and she'll look over there. Both challenging and fun in equal measure, working with children brings a level of truth and profundity to this project -something that I try to capture in every piece of work.
