Still I Rise (Animation, 2022)

This was a motion graphics project for a second year university project. This was one of the first time that I used Adobe After Effects and it was a steep learning curve. Prior to this I had submitted a few portfolio pieces and this was the culmination of all the work and skills I had developed throughout the module. Everything in the clip was made by me in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

This project is based on F1 and specifically, Lewis Hamilton, F1's only black driver. The aim of my project is to explain the issue of racism within F1 to people who don’t understand it, through the audio of Hamilton’s first-hand account of racism. I myself am a big fan of the sport therefore I thought this was a fitting project especially in the wake of the Black Live Matter movement.
