A live parody musical, opening at The Loco Klub on October 9th. Follow the adventures of Baikal Gordon and Sam Cadullaque, fighting for their cartoon pals.
This is a strictly non-profit parody musical is a fan project being developed as the first show by The Kites, a new theatre company based in Bristol.
We're bringing some of the original film's magic to the stage, combining more modern Newgrounds inspired animation with live actors to tell a story that lovingly follows similar beats to the original, while taking big swings with comedy and storytelling that aim to unearth the untapped potential in Space Jam's story.
Older Black Actor Required for role as Michael Jordan's Father, in both a short scene, and a monologue, both pre-recorded for a live theatre show.
We're looking for someone who can portray warmth and fatherly pride. Someone who can both portray the gentle nature of a loving dad, as well as a comedic edge for some wacky scenes if required.
The role is playing off a child actor playing young Michael Jordan in a quick scene (about 6-7 lines each), and in addition to this we're recording a monologue for the father character as well to be shot separately on the same day.
£200 for around 4-5 hours on set, plus a bit of potential wiggle room for some minor expenses.
