Hi there,
I’m Raina, a Bristol-based contemporary artist working on a socially engaged art project exploring paternal relationships. This experimental project involves participants working with “step-in dads” to rehearse conversations and actions inspired by their relationships with their own fathers. It’s a collaborative, meaningful, and playful process that invites both participants and actors into a unique shared experience.
I’m looking for men aged 30–90 to fill the roles of the step-in dads. This is an opportunity to take part in a fascinating creative process that involves improvisation, personal connection, and storytelling. Much of the project will be filmed, and there may also be a live performance element—though this is still developing.
The project is currently self-funded, so the fee will be small, but this can be discussed further if you’re interested and we find a good match. All work will take place in Bristol.
I’m seeking specific people for these roles, and I will personally message those who match the project’s needs. However, please feel free to show interest if this sounds like something you’d enjoy, even if I miss your profile. I’d love to keep you in mind for future opportunities.
This will be an interesting and fun experience, and I’m so excited to work with you!
If you’re intrigued, please get in touch—I’d love to hear from you.
Warmly,
Raina
