Panto is a timid but well-intended mime artist who wishes to be accepted and taken seriously by his community. When a wishing well grants him the magical power to make his invisible environment come to life, he tries to prove his worth by taking down bullies and showing off to strangers in the park. Panto will learn that it’s not his powers that give him purpose, but the respect and connection from the people who love him for who he is.
In this homage to the silent era of comedies, this romantic comedy will explore the misadventures of a mime and his journey of falling in love and doing the right thing.
Panto is an anxious yet inherently good-hearted individual, driven by a pure desire to always do the right thing. He possesses a charming, childlike naivety, consistently seeing the best in everyone he encounters. This optimism fuels his relentless determination to help others, even when the odds are stacked against him.
Panto's journey will see him discover that true purpose isn't found in fleeting moments of external validation, but in real human connection. Through the genuine kindness of new friends and the possibility of meaningful companionship, he will learn that life's richness comes from authentic relationships, not from the approval of strangers.
As this is a student production, we will only be able to cover transport fees and provide catering on the shoot days.
