Assistant Editor

Working under the direction of a lead editor the assistant editor would provide support to the editorial team as a whole and assist production, supervision and artists teams when required.

Assisting lead editors in:

• Ingesting and QCing artists dailies into Avid
• Maintaining and updating all show cuts with the latest shot versions from artists,
• Sourcing and using sound effects, music, voice recordings and subtitles where necessary
• Reconfirming edits to match client’s cuts and notes on an ongoing basis
• Creating and maintaining accurate shot numbering for edits
• Maintaining VFX databases
• Sourcing and exporting various forms of visual references for artists and supervisors
• Managing department Avid media and storage
• Timely preparation of client deliveries
• Exporting playouts for internal dailies
• Liaising with Framestore’s editorial teams in other offices and divisions
• Liaising with cutting rooms and clients rooms when appropriate
• Preparing for and driving dailies sessions and client reviews where necessary
• Working closely with internal production, artists and other support departments providing advice, reference and information when needed
