showcasing the best of the coffee and atmosphere at Mokoko
We know that recording good sound on set (at Mokoko) will be challenging. Mokoko is a glass-fronted coffee shop on a busy pedestrian pavement, on Dorchester Road (opposite both the bus and train station!)
There is some wooden panelling internally, which we hope might help to deaden the sound, however there is also a lot of ceramic tiling, hard surfaces and of course machinery (including fridges, coffee machines, steamers, bean grinders etc).
We do not want to rely on looping, and will do our best to script, negotiate with the Mokoko staff and interviewee, to ensure we get the best sound on set- and best (loud, clear, predictable) performance. We hope to start the shoot early, to avoid the worst from trains and traffic.
With all that in mind, it will be YOUR job to help us - help you capture the best sound- with radio mic, boom (other if necessary).
We would hope to have a pre-prod meeting with you before the shoot, to go through the script and shot list- and establish noise problems and potential solutions before-hand.
We know your time and skills are valuable, which is why we are offering £40.00 to cover your expenses for the day; including but not limited to; petrol, parking, food and refreshments.
