Transitioning From University to Industry (Your Choice of Film, Audio or written Interview, 2020)
A brief interview based on the topic of transitioning from university to the media industry.
Sub Topics will surround one or more of the following
• Job searches, applications and interviews – best practice, tips and resources/what to avoid;
• Networking - best practice, tips and resources/what to avoid, how this works in postpandemic times;
• CV’s and covering letters - best practice, tips and resources/what to avoid;
• Creating a personal website, LinkedIn profile, showreel or demo - best practice, tips and resources/what to avoid;
• Managing your online reputation - best practice, tips and resources/any horror stories;
• Internships & work experience – what to do in current climes;
• Career progression and professional development.
I am a final year media production student tasked with creating a 5-10 minute interview based on the transition from university to the media industry. This will be a short interview that can be either a video, audio or even written piece dependant on what you wish.
Due to this being a student task it will be unpaid.
I have been given a short timeframe for this so you must be available to interview ASAP.
You can be doing any role within the media industry you are just required to have completed a university degree.
