MERON (2017)

In the Philippines cockfight is a national sport. In the ring of the cockfight, the opponents receive the names of Meron and Wala. For bets to be made correctly, the two opponents must receive the same amount of money staked. For example, if someone wants to bet $20 on Wala, they must find an individual, or a group, to match that bet on Meron. The winner of the bet doubles their money. The roosters will fight until one of them dies. The winner will be treated and made to fight in the future. There are times when both opponents will lose their lives in the same fight.
