Who She Is (Stage, 2019)
Cornelia Wojewoda’s moving, dynamic and powerful short play. Two young women are falling in love. But they are facing trouble simply because of who they are.
Cornelia writes: “ ‘Who She Is’ is a fully female drama showing young love between two girls that are facing trouble simply because of who they are. It’s an exploration of a very current problem: we like to think we live in progressive times so why is coming out of a closet still such a huge deal and a scary experience for young (and old) people?”
The actors are FRANKIE EVANS and RUBY BUTCHER. Our plan was to develop the play into a longer piece and take it to festivals. Then 2020 happened.
Writer Cornelia Wojewoda and I really hope to take the project forward, and would love to work with Frankie and Ruby again. Watch this space.
