Bobby, a young actor, reluctantly returns to Bristol after many years away. Alex, Bobby’s younger sister, hopes to help him come to better terms with his past. She’s asked him for help in matters surrounding the death of their father, who Bobby was estranged from. They meet at the Bristol Harbourside, where they walk and talk. Their interaction expresses a complex family history, and Bobby’s sense of being haunted by it. Using the scenery of the water and the subject of a man fleeing his past, the story adapts material from Melville’s Moby Dick.
