This is a fantasy radio drama created for a student assignment which will be showcased at the beginning of June. All details given below!
About the show:
Hazel is the princess of the East. At eighteen years old, a prophecy decides for her to walk a path that's been forbidden for centuries.
Ashley is the princess of the West. At twenty years old, the same prophecy makes her fall upon the same path. Thus, both girls meet.
With a rivalry that has continued since the kingdoms were formed, obviously Ashley and Hazel start with biting at each other's heads. But when something that seems near impossible happens, they must put their squabbling aside in order to save their kingdoms.
Or be damned to see their country crumble into flames and embers.
Roles needed:
King Victor (41) of Levani. He would throw anyone into fire to save himself. He’s got tough skin, and many walls. No one knows if he’s ever truly loved anyone before.
King Baelyn (40) of Etiarh, is almost the same as Victor, hence they always have each other’s heads. But at least he knows to love his family and does seem to put them and his subjects first… well, mostly.
Queen Esther (37) of Etiarh, is loving and caring. She thinks she knows what’s best for Hazel, hence she tries to get her to choose a male companion to go to parties with to potentially wed in the future. She’s sweet, but she doesn’t have much say in the matters when Baelyn takes over the orders. She believes she could be a better ruler than him, but never really lets this come to light.
Adrien (22) is the second-in-command of Etiarh. He is known to be quite flirtatious towards women but knows his duties and will protect the Royals at all cost. He’s had a secret love affair with Hazel in the past, though this is a secret between them. He fancies Hazel, but knows that she doesn’t love him in that way but that doesn’t stop him from continuing his games on trying to get with her. Who knows, maybe they’ll be able to have a bit of fun like they used to.
Damien (21) is the second-in-command of Levani. There’s a fine line with the relationship between him and the Royals of Levani. He has a brother-sister bond with Ashley, their pranks on each other getting in the way of most of the duties around the castle. If it wasn’t for Ashley’s late mother taking him and his mother in from the streets when he was a baby, he would not be able to have his place within the castle.
Ryker, Jeremiah, and Lesley (11) these three boys were captured at the start of the episode. They were found crossing the boarder between Levani to Etiarh. All of them are scared out of their wits when we first meet them, but only Ryker shows a brave face, making it known that he hates the Etiarish and their Royal family.
Queen Solstice (age unknown) was the Queen of the combining kingdom of Levani and Etiarh before she got killed by her husband after finding out her secret. She cursed both kingdoms in revenge for her death, however her body was never recovered, so who knows where her body lies. Is it dead, or is it alive? Soft-spoken and based loosely on Greek mythology Goddesses (mostly Aphrodite and Persephone)
