L'Absente (Short film, 2017)

With « The Absence », Guilhem Machenaud and Lili Eyes take us in an chiaroscuro story.


Usually behind the lens, the artist Lili Eyes unveil herself in front of our camera in both a physical and mental way.

If the exaltation and the enthusiasm turns into serenity, until the absolute, this surrender eventually become the outline of a creative appeasement.

Beyond the simple personal complaint, the duo wanted to showcase the unshakeable oscillation of the soul.

Avec « L’Absente », Guilhem Machenaud et Lili Eyes nous transportent dans un récit en clair-obscur.

Plutôt habituée à être derrière l'objectif, l'artiste Lili Eyes se dévoile devant notre caméra en un glissement psychique et corporel.

Si l’exaltation et la ferveur se transforment en sérénité, jusqu’à l'absolu, cet abandon devient finalement l’esquisse d’un apaisement créateur.

Au delà d’une simple complainte personnelle, le duo a souhaité mettre en scène l’indéfectible oscillation de l’âme.
