Theo finds himself at the centre of a power struggle for the company he’s inherited. He must decide between freedom and continuing his father's legacy.

Maurice is the committed vice-president of the company recently inherited by Theo. He appears to support Theo in protecting the company from investors who want to take it over, but holds his own ambitions. Maurice is central to the core theme of the film, embodying the cautionary message of a devoted worker that would drive himself toward success even at the expense of having anything else meaningful in his life.
