A random act of art based on Mona Trethewey's memories of the Winter of 1933 in Nanpean in Cornwall. When she was nine years old, she witnessed the curate of Nanpean Church, The Reverend Ralph Perry-Gore collecting candles in jam jars and ice skating on the frozen clay pit behind her house.
