The Sound Show, monthly show on 1020 Radio, is looking for 2 reliable & flexible camera operators & editors to film & edit studio sessions & live performances
dBs Presents: The Sound Show is a show run by dBs Music students Joe Valek & Joe Crocker on 1020 Radio. The show aims to showcase and promote everything that is happening at dBs, from music to events, projects and more!
We are looking for two reliable and flexible camera operators and video editors who are looking to take part in this fun project. You must have access to a camera and video editing software. You must be free on the first Friday of every month between 1300-1400 so you can come into 1020 Radio and film any live performances we may have going on in the studio, and then be able to edit it ready for upload to YouTube as soon as possible after the show.
Although this is an important aspect, the main concept behind this project lies in the recording of Studio Sessions we plan to undertake once a month here at dBs Music, Bristol. We will take care of all the music/sound, and you can take care of the visuals; you will have the ability to be creative as possible providing the end product still fits the intended style. We also plan to film a short interview with the artists which will also be uploaded to YouTube as a separate video. The sessions will take place at some point in the course of the month between shows, but the video will not need to be ready to be released until the day the show goes out live. As the show is aiming to promote a further student's artists development, we consider this to be the next stage for the show. It is a simple task but will be a good, long-term project to get involved in.
Of course, this project is unpaid and purely experience based, so it's a perfect opportunity for students to gain some good experience and develop skills. The videos will be uploaded to our YouTube channel, but you will be credited fully for all your work and there is scope for this project to develop further.
