Set during one shift at a fine dining restaurant, working-class waitress Sarah explores the social class divide between her and the upper class.
This 10-minute short film explores the profound social class disparities that permeate British society.
Sarah is a dedicated working-class waitress at an upscale restaurant in the heart of London, England. The film unfolds during a single shift, juxtaposing the opulent dining hall with the gruelling kitchen where Sarah toils.
'Eddie' is a close friend and business associate of Reginald, of whom he met at Eton. They formed bonds of masculine friendship, and though their paths diverged, they will always lend a hand to each other now and then. He is an important man, and he knows that. He wants everyone else to know that as well. He demands the respect he 'deserves' and will not be treated as a second-class citizen.
His calmness is a front to his belief that whatever he believes is right by the virtue of him believing it, and any who challenge that. Well, they didn’t go to Eton, did they? So, really, why are they even talking to him?
Similarly arrogant, quieter, and more vicious when provoked.
