More About the Role
Dummy (working title) is a third-year student film produced at Bath Spa University, with a runtime of approximately 3–5 minutes.
The film follows a janitor working at a driving crash test facility, an underdog who is repeatedly belittled and mistreated by his co-workers. His compassion towards the crash test dummies sets him apart, and as his isolation grows, he begins to identify with them more and more, speaking to them as though they can understand him and expressing genuine sympathy for their fate.
His growing alienation culminates in his accidental death at the hands of his co-workers.
The film will be shot in the studios at Bath Spa University.
