Music composer & Sound Designer
Martijn de Man is a composer and sound designer who blends cinematic orchestration with modern electronics,always in service of the story.
After launching his career as a keyboardist with Urban Heroes (Sony Music), he shifted his focus fully to composition. Since then, he has scored documentaries, short films, animations and large-scale immersive experiences worldwide.
His work includes films for NPO and Amazon UK, soundscapes for the Van Gogh Museum, international exhibitions such as the Doha Horticultural Expo 2023, and immersive productions in Macau. He is also the in-house composer and sound designer at MCW Creative Agency (Rotterdam).
From intimate documentaries like War is Hereditary to surround immersive installations like Lisboa Stories and Picasso: Beauty & Drama, Martijn creates emotionally driven scores that enhance atmosphere without overpowering it.
