Since turning freelance in 1997 I have gained extensive broadcast and corporate experience. I currently specialise in using large sensor cameras to obtain a cinematic, 35mm look.
In 2011 I was one of the first UK camera ops to own and start shooting with Panasonic’s shallow DOF, ‘film look’ camera, the AF101.
Since then, I have specialised in using large sensor cameras to produce images that have the look and feel of 35mm film though the use of a wide range of cameras including the Sony FS7 and Canon C300.
Using large sensor cameras is a slightly different skill set from conventional ENG style cameras. It means thinking in a more 'filmic' way to take advantage of all the beautiful cinematic possibilities of this type of camera.
If you prefer conventional ENG shooting I am also available to shoot standard HD or operate your camera at an excellent daily rate.
