Hi, I'm Kyle, a 23-year-old aspiring writer and director with a First-Class Honours Degree in Film Production and Film Studies. My passion for filmmaking started early, inspired by watching Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). That experience sparked a love for storytelling that has only grown over time. Though I once dreamed of being an archaeologist like Indy, I soon realised my real passion lay in bringing characters to life on screen.

During my time at university, I was awarded the prestigious Jamie Pegram Award, recognising my dedication, hard work, and resilience. I’m someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and I’m always eager to go the extra mile, whether working on my own projects or collaborating with a team. My hands-on experience as a filmmaker has allowed me to develop key skills in camera work, scriptwriting, and editing, as well as technical proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, and more.

I particularly enjoy writing stories about psychological struggles and complex character relationships, exploring topics like grief, estranged families, and mental health challenges. Writing for me is like raising a character from nothing, shaping them until they come alive on the screen. I’m also a big fan of horror, with a special fondness for slasher films—despite their complicated history—and love studying how the genre has evolved.

I'm fully prepared to embrace the long journey ahead as I pursue my career aspirations. I know the path isn’t easy, but I’m ready to put in the work and collaborate with others to create stories that make people laugh, cry, scream, or all of the above.

Let’s make some films!
