Seasoned puppeteer and maker Josh Elwell trained at L.A.M.D.A. He spent several years working as an actor touring nationally and even appearing as Joe Gargery in the West End production of Great Expectations. He began to develop a passion for puppetry and worked in theatre for companies like The National Theatre of Scotland, Little Angel and Norwich Puppet Theatre. His work in TV puppetry started at CBeebies in 2009. He worked with the Jim Henson Company on 3 different projects including the Netflix show, Dark Crystal - Age of Resistance. He puppeteered in the Movie of Assassins Creed and Muppets Most Wanted. More recently he was lead puppeteer on the cult show Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared on Channel 4 and started working on Dr Who, operating Daleks, in 2021. Since then he has worked on 2 subsequent series, the first of which will air on BBC and Disney Plus in May 2024.
