I have long associations with theatres in my home city of Bristol. For Bristol Old Vic I have directed/performed in over 20 productions including Up the Feeder Down the MouthSuspension and Sleeping Beauty. In April 2023 I was back there performing in Ad Infintum's If You Fall prior to a National tour.

I co-founded Bristol Old Vic’s Young Company with Sally Cookson and was also Director of Education and Youth Theatre (1996 - 2004.)

For Tobacco Factory Theatres, recent productions include The Love I Feel Is RedA Midsummer Night’s Dream and Our Country’s Good.

In 2021 I performed in The Place at the Bridge based on the sonnets for Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory and in 2022 I performed in South Western with The Wardrobe Ensemble.

I co-founded and was Artistic Director of Myrtle Theatre (2004-2018), which gained a national reputation for ambitious, original theatre articulating diverse and unheard voices. Productions include Through the WireCity of OneHot AirJollity FarmUp Down Boy and Up Down Man

My early theatre career ranged from community theatre to Number 1 tours and I performed in repertory seasons throughout the UK. For TV I was a presenter for BBC’s iconic children’s programmes Play School and Play Away and collaborated with film writer/director Anthony Minghella on a number of his projects, performing in his films Whale MusicA Little Like Drowning and Truly Madly Deeply. I also appeared in Coronation Street, Grange Hill, Alfonso Bonzo, Casualty and The House of Elliott.
