So what do you need in your cameraman? Friendly, a perfectionist, patient, artistic, quick and resourceful? News camera reactions with quality of a cinematographer? Documentary instincts and quality lighting ? You just found him!
Hi there,
I'm a Lighting cameraman / DoP and work in different genres. I work often in news and current affairs, as well as Corporate films, promotional work, documentary, Charity films, training films, live events, live TV, red carpet and sports, Green screen studio work, and have done a wee bit of drama too.
Too do these different things, I have two new cameras . Both Panasonic. The first is the HVX Aj 5000G, with a Canon HJ22 lens. This is a shoulder mounted ENG style camera, with servo zoom, the excellent HJ 22 lens (7.6mm to 168mm, plus doubler) and works for ITN and ZDF (German TV) as well as others doing news gathering work .
The other camera is the brand new Panasonic Varicam LT. This is a Super 35mm MOS sensor camera (and is best Googled as there is a lot to tell), but highlights include, dual ISO settings of 800 or 5000 ( so excellent in low light), has an EF mount for the Canon lenses, Ishallow depth of field), shoots Slow motion (60p) for 4K, (240fps for HD or 2K). Also shoots with P2 cards, and on a variety of codecs including AVCI Intra 100 or Pro Res.
It also has the best viewfinder in the business, is sturdy, chunky, well built and far more resilient and better made than the C300, FS7, F55, F5 and is challenging the Arri Amira market too.
I do Corporate, branding, documentary, news, live and feature items for different broadcasters and production companies. These include BBC Newsnight, The BBC2's Victoria Derbyshire show,(documentary strands) and Ch4 news, as well as various production companies for branded content.
I've done Sports for the WTA (tennis, in Europe and Russia) as well as music too.
I have lots of lights, a great monitor, a slider, shoulder rig, good lenses, radio mics and a good website and CV to prove I know what I'm talking about!
Reasonable rates too, and availability is good too.
Kit and me are ready to go, 24/7 in a Volvo estate. I'm based in Chesham, Bucks., and am handy for various motorways.
I'm also experienced with 16mm film.
I'd be happy to chat and keep in touch.
Hope to speak soon,
All the best,
Please call or email me, if you like.
