Gaia is an eclectic artist from Torino, Italy, now based in Bristol, UK. She works as a performer, movement director, facilitator and maker. Her experience encompasses collaborations with artists from diverse backgrounds and projects in different settings, including site specific and traditional theatre, gallery spaces, outdoors and immersive theatre, dance, opera, film, TV, photography and fine art.
Her background is in ballet, contemporary dance, fine art, and art history. She has a BA in Contemporary Dance from TrinityLaban and trained in acting at The Questors Academy in London.
Further professional development includes courses with Frantic Assembly, Peeping Tom and Theatre Re, BADC certifications, and stunt training.
She has worked as a freelance practitioner for NDCWales, Welsh National Opera, Karol Cysewski, and Jack Philp Dance. Some of her latest engagements include projects with Alex Marshall Parsons, Naked Frank Theatre, Kitsch’n’Sync Collective and The National Gallery. Her interactive solo walkabout, Miss B., was first supported by Articulture Wales through the Four Nations bursary and regularly tours in the UK and internationally.
Gaia has worked as assistant director/movement director and choreographer for several theatre, dance, physical theatre, opera, and film projects.
