Francesca is a London based Italian/British director and award winning writer. She is a selected participant of BAFTA Crew 2017.
With a background in the performing arts and a first class BA in Drama & Theatre Arts from Goldsmiths, she is co-founder of theatre collective Seventh Storey. With the collective, she has performed at iconic venues such as the Shunt Lounge and the Battersea Arts Centre in London. Transitioning to film, she has gained experience working on feature films and in the broader industry with companies such as Recorded Picture Company, Universal Pictures Int’l, New Regency, See-Saw and Porchlight Films. She has most recently assisted producer Liz Watts on upcoming feature film ‘Mary Magdalene’.
Francesca's films and music videos have screened at festivals worldwide and online on Dazed & Confused and Promo News. Clients include Warner Records and Hyperdub. In 2015 she won a Live Script Reading Award at the British Urban Film Festival supported by Channel 4 for her short film script 'Faded'. The first feature film screenplay she has co-written was awarded research funding from the Finnish Cultural Foundation. She is now developing the short film version as well as other short and feature film projects.
