Fabio hails from Northern Italy. From the beginning, he has been drawn to the unorthodox and bold. Fabio is a fan of Frank Zappa and pulls his ideas into his music. Albums are concepts, not just collections of songs. Gigs are experiences, not just playing music. Artists paint pictures, not just make sounds.
Fabio composes elaborate yet listenable musical experiences. The pay-off for investing time to listen through is well worth it. Challenging yet exciting, Ferri and his eponymous Quintet blend the best of jazz heritage with new musical frontiers.

Based in Bristol, UK, Ferri feeds off the diversity and energy of the local scene. “I’ve never known a scene as bold as this. A place where there is such a concentration of amazing talent. It’s very inspiring. It was the perfect place to form the Quintet.”
Forming a Quintet in 2022, Fabio has played at Standon Calling and Shambala. In 2023, he supported internationally acclaimed drummer and avantgarde composer Sean Noonan, one third of Bourne Bardon Noonan.
The Fabio Ferri Quintet is taking the experience on the road next year, looking for progressive support slots and alternative festival stages across the UK in 2024. After releasing ‘Griboyedov Incident’ in 2022, Fabio is now working on new music with the Quintet.

Fabio Ferri is renowned in Bristol for his artistic career as well as being active in a number of projects that span all possible genres (Deems Experiment, Experiment OB, Danny Burrito, Irish Mellow, Bristol European Jazz Ensemble ft.
