Producer, composer, sound engineer and sound designer, my interest lies in music and sound as a means of communication, an effective narrative tool, a powerful trigger for emotions, especially when in synergy with images
I started moving my first steps as a live and studio musician in early 90s at the age of 13, after years of classical piano and harmony studies at the Music Conservatory of Turin, where I got a music theory diploma.
But at 12 I discovered guitar, I taught myself how to play it and at the time it was more fun!
From then on I played in various indie pop and alternative rock acts as a guitarist, keyboardist and programmer.
I soon developed a strong interest in recording and production techniques, and in 2010 I started working as a professional studio sound engineer and music producer.
The beginning of a bachelor course in Electronic Music Music Conservatory of Cuneo in 2012 and a renewed interest for the classical and contemporary repertoire, together with my experience as a sound engineer, encouraged my approach to sound design and original music composition and production for visual media, making it a career from 2014 working on feature films (awards for “Best Sound” at the Westminster Film Festival (UK) 2019 and “Best Sound” at Vidi Space Film Festival (USA) 2020; nominations for “Best Soundtrack” at Oniros Film Awards, Saint-Vincent (Italy) 2019 and “Best Music” Horizon Award at International Sound and Film Music Festival, Pula (Croatia)), documentaries, fashion films (Grey Magazine, Soap Opera Magazine, Stella McCartney), promos, ADVs, brand contents and commercials (UK Cinema, Costadoro Caffè, Slow Food, Pollini; Zanellato, North Sails), experimental art films and contemporary art performance (with italian artist Marcello Maloberti among others).
