When it comes to unique life stories, Dan Jeffries aka Rate & Follow has to be up there with the best.

A fixture of the Bristol music scene for many years, Dan’s talent as a DJ and producer cannot be understated. With over 50 releases and numerous DJ appearance, Dan’s infectious style covers Deep House to Techno and everything in between. His releases have seen support from Maceo Plex, Christian Varela, James Zabiela and others and he’s DJ'd alongside legends such as DJ Pierre, The Advent and Felix da Housecat.

Born with a hyper-rare condition that affects less than 1 in 50 million people, Dan has lived with blindness in his left eye all his life. He was also diagnosed with acromegaly in 2007 - a rare condition caused by a tumour in the pituitary gland - which affected his growth hormone and testosterone production.

But this hasn’t stopped Dan. In 2015 he published his memoir ‘Me, Myself & Eye’, chronicling his amazing journey and providing a message of hope to anyone facing difficult challenges. With Interviews across the BBC and talks around the world, dan has become a minor-celebrity in the rare disease community and has a truly unique and inspiring story to share.
