In its infancy, boomsatsuma was established to provide the highest quality provision for young people in the arts. Since then, it has continually developed and broadened to incorporate post-16, secondary and primary level education on top of its apprenticeships, arts projects and community engagement. This development is the result of collaboration with educators, employers and young people themselves across the region and has led to some of the most innovative, engaging and effective opportunities for young people across the South West and beyond.
Our ethos of fuelling the next creative generation has driven the vast majority of our ideas, endeavours and developments, not least our Media Production Diplomas, Sports Media Diplomas and Professional Acting Diplomas. These hugely popular post-16 courses have kept immersion, opportunity and real-world experience as their core values and, in recent years, have moved increasingly closer to the industries and employers they serve, both physically and thematically. These courses have quickly become flagship boomsatsuma offerings that accompany the courses we run in existing colleges and sixth forms and our wide array community and arts projects.
