Ben Robins is a writer based in Bath, in love with comedy, horror and the very natural meeting point between the two.

Ben’s weird background running famous people’s social mediaaccounts at various talent agencies has given him a unique and unusual perspective on fame and zillennial culture, as well as an acerbic outlook on contemporary Britain overall - particularly the growing emotional and financial distance between classes and generations.

His dark comedy shorts LOSING IT (for Sky Arts), and THE LAST JEFF (starring Erin Doherty), both screened at BAFTA-qualifying film festivals all over the world, and his work has been called both “Fascinating” (Directors Notes), and “Funny and original” (filmmaker and journalist Nev Pierce - Contributing Editor, Empire Magazine).

In 2024, Ben was selected to be a part of All3Media’s New Writers Collective and head to the Edinburgh TV Festival with his sitcom pilot SOCIAL - a high-energy workplace comedy set in the ludicrously tense world of celebrity social media managers - that has also since been longlisted for the Shortcom TV Sitcom Competition.
