Andrii Zhuravskyi is a Ukrainian-born queer film director based in London, UK.
His work demonstrates engaging storytelling via an ability to showcase the human
condition by capturing intimacy and vulnerability on screen.
After attending an acting course at the Odesa Film Studio, he continued studying
his craft in Poland and the UK, finishing an MA in Film Directing. Whilst
studying, he gained experience working as a director’s assistant, assistant director,
production runner and trainee across projects. Working in other sectors as a
community interpreter and refugee advocacy officer gave him further transferable
skills after the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. Andrii is fluent in Ukrainian,
Russian, Polish and English, and is currently learning German (B1).
His main aspiration is to develop further projects, leading to a feature debut.
