My latest book that has been published is The Poet's Journal. I am the recipient of two grants from the National Arts Council, one from the Centre for the Book and another from ECPACC.
I am an aspiring screenwriter who sold her first feature film script last year to Swirlkous Films. STAND UP STRAIGHT is now THE PATHFINDER and it is being directed by Rafieka Davis. I aim to continue writing feature film scripts.
A Nollywood director whose play won a BBC playwriting award, Sola Osofisan, film industry veterans Darrell Roodt and David Max Brown and television titan and maverick Denver Vraagom have been encouraging and very kind. Rafieka Davis has been very helpful. She used my script as a kind of blueprint/understudy for THE PATHFINDER and revised the STAND UP STRAIGHT script further to meet and suit her artistic vision.
In the meantime I am waiting to hear if development funding came through from the National Film and Video Foundation in South Africa for a psychological thriller I wrote that has a producer attached. I am also looking for a co-writer for another unproduced film script I wrote and have a director and producer duo attached two another short films I have written.
