Screenwriter

I'm looking to produce up to 5 shorts for the Landjager Shortest Film Festival. Each short can be no more than 12 seconds long. Yes, you read that right! To see previous entries, go to https://www.landjaeger.at/filmfestspiele/12-sekunden-best-of

You will see that most of the previous years' entries are comedies. I'm open to all genres, particularly horror and drama. The only requirement is that there should be no dialogue in the script both for cost reasons and because the competition is in German. I think there's a lot of opportunity to produce something that's really out of the box, and prove that talented filmmakers don't need a lot of time to make an impact.

All films that place in the festival will be put up on the website for audience voting and will be shown at the Gartenbaukino cinema in Vienna, Austria.

All films must fit into one of four themes. Translated from the original German website:

Category 1: YES!  This is where agreements, promises, principles, evidence, guarantees (and their failures) come in. Here everything is real or true or clear or fixed. Yes, gladly! Yes, absolutely! Yes, of course!

Category 2: NO!  Here you encounter prohibitions, taboos, blocks, rejections, impossibilities, vetoes, defeats and oppositions. To reprimands, anger and refusal. On measures and unthinkables.

Category 3: MAYBE!  It is possible! Or not? Are you struggling with decisions? Are you flirting with opportunism? Do you express suspicions and speculations, use examples, but also believe that utopias are possible?

Category 4: DON'T CARE.  Are you apathetic or a calming presence in a turbulent time? If no day is any different from the next, everything is the same, trivial, unimportant and irrelevant or whatever, the following applies: it doesn't matter.
